This is a technology task which covers the following Early Learning Goal.
ELG 15 - Technology: Children recognise that a range of technology is used in places such as homes and schools. They select and use technology for particular purposes.
Exceeding: Children find out about and use a range of everyday technology. They select appropriate applications that support an identified need – for example in deciding how best to make a record of a special event in their lives, such as a journey on a steam train.
Please upload videos to Tapestry of your child taking about the technology in your home. This can be anything from iPads, Ovens, lighting to doorbells. Please get them to identify what the item is, how it works, why you would use that particular item and how that item would have been different in the past.
You will also be covering:
Exceeding 13 - People and Communities: Children know why people’s lives were different in the past.
ELG 2 - Understanding: Children answer ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions about their experiences.
ELG 3 - Speaking: Children develop their own narratives and explanations by connecting ideas or events.
Exceeding 3: Children use a range of vocabulary in imaginative ways to add information, express ideas or to explain or justify actions or events.
