For the rest of this week in maths we will continue with work on money. I have attached a couple of worksheets which you could use. Playing shops with children is also a great way to help develop their money skills.
The money sharing at the beach will cover the following:
ELG: Children solve problems involving sharing.
Exceeding: Children solve practical problems that involve sharing into equal groups.
The coin detective is to help those who still need to work on recognising the differences between the coins or a nice activity to develop fine motor colouring skills.
I know several of you have already discovered Twinkl, a website with lots of teaching resources. There are some great PowerPoints with games that your children can play to develop their skills with money. The following are good ones. You can sign up for a free Twinkl account during the time schools are closed. You can access Twinkl using this link:
https://www.twinkl.co.uk/ then searching money and refining by Early Years. If you fancy a challenge you could also look at Year 1 but the PowerPoints below are under Early Years.
