Good morning everyone,
Please remember that Mrs Last is adding French work to her folder for you to be having a look at too.
Here is the work for the next few days and hopefully I'll see some of Year 6 next week.
Take care everyone.
Mr Williams
PS- Did you look in the photos star to see how our classrooms and the corridor now look?

SPaG Online- please go through your test and check any questions you got wrong.
You may have noticed in the spellings recently that there are quite a few words that follow the 'i' before 'e' except after 'c' rule. E.g deceive, inconceivable, achieve. Make too lists of spellings- one for words with 'ie' in them and one for words with 'ei' in them.
Bitesize English- Using direct and indirect speech dated 9th June. Attempt this lesson- it should follow on from last week's work on speech marks/inverted commas.

Material changes- What happens when you heat some materials/substances up? Investigate the changes and note them down. Do they change colour, texture, hardness, shape, smell, Some of the changes are reversible (they can change back to their original state when they cool down) and some are irreversible (you can't get them back to their original state). Ask and adult to help you when you heat things up.
Write down your findings e.g When we heated the bread in a toaster it changed colour and the soft bread went harder, it also produced a smell. The change was irreversible as it didn't change back to the original bread when it called down.
Some possible items- an egg, bread, chocolate, candle wax, butter |

Photography- someone in Year 6 sent me some amazing photographs that they had taken last week. They were absolutely fantastic. When you are out and about this week- in your garden or on a walk- take a photograph of something special. Think about the angle of your photograph, how close you can get to the object you are photographing. You could send me your best ones. This task will continue for the week so you can experiment before sending your best ones. (I've been sent some amazing pictures already) |

Spellings- I have attached the 40 spellings from the last 2 Year 6 SATs tests. Have a good look at these words and make sure you know what they mean. These will be similar to the words you will have in your SATs test next year.
Keep practising these words and ask an adult to test you on the words you chose earlier in the week.
Bitesize- Literacy 9th June. Newspaper reports- using direct and indirect speech. Please attempt this lesson as it continues with our work on inverted commas.
Keep reading regularly at least 4 reads per week. Look out for examples of direct and indirect/reported speech.
