It was great to speak with Year 5 on Tuesday. I hope you are all enjoying some outside time in this lovely weather.
Here is the work for the next few days. Next week is half term so I won't be putting on any extra work for next week. But for those who want to continue please keep reading as often as possible and catch up with any lessons on Bitesize and Oak Academy.
Take care everyone.

Go through and check your SPaG online. There were some good results but also some careless errors. Some people were forgetting to use capital letters or full stops in sentences so didn't pick up the marks even if they understood and answered the question.
Imagine you had been evacuated during WW2. Sent to a safer, faraway place- away from your parents. You wouldn't have known the family or person you would be staying with and you'd only be allowed to take a small bag of your belongings. Plan a letter home to your parents after 1 week of staying at you new home. Think about- the train journey to your new home, what the family are like, what the place is like, what your bedroom is like and how you are feeling, what you are missing, any questions you need to ask your parents.
When you've planned your letter try to write it out organising it into paragraphs.
I've attached some notes to help you.

Project | I wonder how your project is looking? Perhaps it is finished or are there other chapters you need to complete. If there is anything you can add to your project or if you've started a second project- spend some time continuing with this over the next few days. It sounds as though we have a real variety of topics from Youtubers and The History of X-boxes to Salvador Dali, Arsenal FC, Dinosaurs and even one on the Coronavirus epidemic. | 45 mins |
