I hope you all had a good Easter. The answer to the last riddle was 'legs'! It has a bottom at its top!! Sorry about that- that was awful!!

What was 'the Blitz' and what was 'a blackout' ? Read the attached Powerpoints and research yourself. Watch video clips to help you understand. | 45 mins |
Creative | Use the internet to find an image of St Paul's Cathedral in London during the Blitz. London was bombed terribly and although it was badly damaged the cathedral just about survived. There are some very famous photographs of St Paul's at this time. Try to make a sketch based on a photograph you found. (I'll also attach one) |

Choose 2 from each prefix to generate your 10 spellings for this week (challenge yourself). Then write out each spelling word chosen in a correctly punctuated sentence.
Reading- read aloud to a member of your family you haven't seen for a while, over the phone or by computer. Explain to them that this is part of your home learning and perhaps they could ask you some questions about what you are reading.

Continue with the Maths textbook you were given- work through carefully and thoughtfully, note down any working out you do. Remember to write down the page and question number and present your work clearly. |
